Product Description

STEP 1: Making Silicone Molds First, add enough water (23°C-2000ml) to the molding bucket. Pour the alginate molding powder into it and stir quickly. Stirring time should not exceed 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

STEP 2: Casting Silicone Mould Wet your hand and put it into the alginate molding powder. Do not touch the bucket and keep still. Wait for the alginate molding powder to solidify, which takes about 3-5 minutes. Do not move or take out the hand before the alginate molding powder solidifies.

STEP 3: Casting Hand Molds Add enough water (23°C-350ml) to a mixing cup. Pour in the casting powder and stir. Stirring time should not exceed 1 minute and 30 seconds. Then, slowly pour the casting into the inside of the mold to fill the top of the bucket.

STEP 4: Demoulding Pull on opposite sides of the bucket so that the molding breaks its suction from the bucket and slides out of the mold. Carefully peel the molding material away from the statue. Be extra careful with fingers, especially baby's fingers, as the statue is not yet completely dry.

Q&A: Do I need to wear gloves while making hand molds? Our products are skin-friendly, non-toxic, and harmless. To carve out the detailed lines on your hands, we recommend that you do not wear gloves.

When mixing water and powder, should I add the water or the powder first? We recommend that you add the water before adding the powder and stir quickly to make the mixture more homogeneous.

How can I make the details of my hand molds more visible? During the first step, please try to keep your hand as steady as possible. In the second part of the pour, you can add some of the mixture and then shake the bucket so that the mixture covers all parts of the silicone mold.

What should I do if I don't mix it evenly and leave some residue that results in a protruding final hand mold? Your hand molds can be further sanded to a perfect finish using the sandpaper that comes with our products.
